Nieuwe tekening

Deze post doe ik eens een keer in het nederlands.
Ik heb een nieuwe tekening gemaakt, deze keer heb ik het van een foto nagetekend. Ik heb de foto van internet gehaald, maar weet helaas de bron niet meer. Ik vond dit ook erg leuk om te doen, anders omdat je je aan de foto moet houden, meestal verzin ik de gezichten zelf en dan zie ik wel wat er komt.

De tekening hierboven, daar ben ik nu mee bezig. Als hij klaar is dan zal ik hem plaatsen.

De foto's zijn niet zo heel duidelijk, gemaakt met de Iphone, dat komt door het dompige weer. Ik zit al een paar dagen te wachten totdat het wat lichter is, maar ik had nu geen geduld meer, dus toch foto's gemaakt. Als ik een flitser zou gebruiken, dan worden de tekeningen alleen maar onduidelijker, dus moet ik het hier maar bij laten.

Granny squares

I'm crochetting! I never thought I would do that, when I was younger I was always a knitter, but I am crochetting now! I'm making granny squares and it is really fun! My mother is always crochetting the most beautiful things and I love the things she makes, they're so georgeous, so I've started too.
The granny squares on the picture are made by me and the egg warmers (in the snow) are made by my mother.

Hi there

It has been a while, sometimes life goes by so fast and before you know it, it is February.
Here in the Netherlands it has been very cold, and everybody talked about iceskating.
In the province of Friesland there could have been the Elfstedentocht, but the ice wasn't thick
enough, it had to be 15 cm. because then 16 thousend people want to iceskate from city to city (11 cities).
Maybe it will be cold later on in February, it has been 15 years ago when the last Elfstedentocht was held and the whole country is waiting and hoping for one again.
I made some pictures of a frozen window outside, I photoshopped it a little bit.

Finished drawing

He he, I finally finished the drawing that I started at the end of Oktober. I've been so busy that I almost didn't find any time for my hobby's, like reading and drawing. We had a vacation and my birthday, busy at work and so many other things, and my health isn't always that good so that's because I couldn't find the time. Now it is also a busy time with our company and my husband has his birthday this weekend so the whole family will come, which we always enjoy and there is christmas of course. It's always such a warm time!

The book of Monika Peetz I've finished this week and the book of Diana Gabaldon I'm still reading, it is the 8th book of the serie and it has 829 pages. I loooove the serie she wrote!!!

Painting

I found a little painting that I made last year and I would like to share it with you.

These days, we celebrate "Sinterklaas" in the Netherlands and I believe in Belgium too. His birthday is on the 6th of December but lots of families celebrate his birthday today, because it is weekend. We get presents then and we have special cookies for this occasion: "speculaas" and "pepernoten".  I think it's a lot like Santa Claus. It's a family occasion here in Holland.

Spain

We've been to Spain for 6 days and as you can see the weather wasn't all that good. I think in the Netherlands it was even bether, which is very strange in this time of year.
These are some pictures of the beach in Benidorm, a wellknown city and beach in the summer season.

We went here to watch the MotoGp races, the last one of this season. It was a little rainy and a little cold, but we enjoyed it.

The last day we went to Valencia, a beautiful city, we were just in time before the big market closed, where they sell all kinds of fresh food, like vegetables and fish and spanish things.
The last picture is the view from the window of our apartment. Beautiful isn't it? All orange trees, in front. There are a lot of them around Valencia. The last day the sun was shining! We enjoyed our little vacation!

Pictures and drawings

I made this picture of Bram with my Iphone Hipstamatic app. I love this app. You can make beautiful pictures with this and there are a lot of different possibillities.

I started this drawing and this is how I begin, I draw the face and then I colour the shades very lightly, and when I go further, I layer and layer and layer very lightly. I'm thinking of maybe to use some pastels as well, but I let you see when it is finished.
As for now, I'm going to enjoy the beautiful weather and a cup of coffee and I wish you a very nice day!
